Audio and video out of sync

I am very new to FCP and i am capturing a really long clip. When I am done it says that audio rate doesn't match the source, thus A/V is out of sync. Problem is the video was captured in 12 bit and this video CANNOT be captured again. How can I make FCP import 12 bit audio? Please reply ASAP. Thanks

On the assumption you are working with DV material, duplicate the DV 48khz set up, change the audio to 32khz/16 bit and save it with a name that makes it easy to select.

It is the 32khz sampling rate that is the problem, not the 12 bit sampling depth. The 16 bit setting will work fine.

I am having a similar problem. We have footage shot at 12 bit audio and have been advised to import at 32kHz/16 bit audio. The question is: will working in 32 kHz (instead of the normal 48) cause any problems down the line. For example can I add in elements that are shot at 48 kHz and/or will I have problems with my final mix & output?
