Time Machine = WD Netcenter

I have a 250gb Western Digtal Netcenter device attached to my home network. When I go to choose the backup device inside of Time Machine - it does not show up. Any suggestions? My 500gb Western Digital firewire device shows up but not the Netcenter.

The drive must be GUID partitioned and formatted Mac OS X Extended (Journaled.) A NAS is not a directly connected drive so it will only be accessible if it is a mounted network device. However, most NAS systems do not use OS X as the operating system, rather they use Windows or Linux. TM will not see them as valid backup devices.

BTW, in the future please post in the relevant forum. There are TM and Leopard forums. You've posted your question in the Panther and earlier forum.
