I even looked for drivers for BootCamp on the OS X 10.5 startup CD.
MacBook Pro,
Mac OS X (10.5.3),
BootCamp with Windows XP Pro
Not yet let me know if you here any thing for now I had to delete the Vm and just stick with BootCamp I needed for school. I hop I fiend out soon be for my class on Macs. I will need to use VM and BootCamp on that day in my class.
I also get this problem on my MacBook running Leopard 10.5.3 with the latest version of Parallels. Except in my case, neither the keyboard or mouse works - even different ones plugged through USB. Before the Vista SP1 everything was fine, and now I can't do anything except in Parallels which is actually slower and more sluggish than it used to be.
Same problem here. Had done all the updates OS X 10.5.3 and Parallels on the mac side and Bootcamp 2.1 on the Pc side. Just happened to try bootcamp and mouse, trackpad and keyboard don't respond. Can't even get to try and reload drivers from the Leopard disc. Any ideas????
add me to the list. I hadn't booted or used parallels in almost a year but this week I needed to do use windows and in part of getting everything going I updated parallels to the newest and when I went to boot windows, no KB/M.
I ran into this same issue, but I was able to fix it. Turns out windows just needed the drivers for the keyboard and trackpad again, but you have to boot up using BootCamp to make it work. The way to do that is to boot up your BootCamp partition using parallels, and use a registry hack to enable auto-logon. Then reboot into WinXP (without parallels) and it should log you in and install the drivers. Worked for me, your mileage my vary.
You don't need to get the drivers from anywhere. They're already in Windows. It's a nifty little glitch with M$ that you have to be logged in for Windows to automatically reinstall the keyboard driver, but you can't log in if you don't have a keyboard driver.
I think what happens is that Parallels makes some changes to the Windows install, and those changes can cause Windows to forget it has the driver. When you log in, Windows goes "Oh, here they are, let me reinstall these real quick."
