WHICH BRAND OF CD-R WILL WORK IN MACBOOK?????

Turns out , i'm told, i'll have to check to see which brand of cd-r will burn in my new macbook. The maxell's i have make the drive sound like a coffee grinder and tbe
error says something about it not likeing the 'media'
a cd-rw worked fine...apple support said i should try *other brands of cd-r's to see which work....this should not be... THEN i see all the other wierd problems people are having wiht ther macbook drives*

so.....ANY BODY GOT SUGGESTIONS ON WHICH BRANDS DO WORK?
Wow! Seems the macbook has a lot of drive problems !!!! Mine too !
