Leopard and hp Designjet 130nr

Sorry if this is a duplicate post - I didn't see anything before...

I have recently purchased a new MacBook Pro, and am trying to connect it to our hp Designjet 130nr. The printer setup worked fine with our other Mac (Mac Pro running Tiger), but I cannot seem to get this one to set up. If I try to set up the printer through the computer, it cannot find the driver. (I attempted to load the HP drivers from the system disks, but it is still not there). If I try to add the printer using the hp printer utility, I get an error with adding the print queue.

Both Apple and hp state that the drivers for the Designjet 130nr are included, but I cannot seem to find them anywhere. I see other Designjet models, but not the 130.

Any ideas?

I hope you have found an answer. I just bought an iMac and am trying to set up the Designjet 130. It's listed in Preferences under Print & Fax and I can open the print queue which lists print jobs and reports that the printer is ready but it simply won't print. When I click RESUME on stopped jobs I eventually get an error message that flashes by too quickly to read. I am at a loss as to what to do next.

how to print to a networked HP Designjet130nr from a mac os x 10.5 leopard .

Network connection ( not USB)

1. system preferences-printers- add printer- More Printers- HP IP
Printing- Manual
-( when you click More Printers - it take a couple minutes to search )

2. Manual IP < enter the ip address of the printer>

3. Click "Connect" ...

then wait till it displays

Printer name NPIEB0xxx, Kind HP IP Printer 4.2.2

4. Click ADD

Now you can print to it .

Remember that it doesn't print very fast ,, so print jobs can take several
minutes

I was frustrated enough so that I called HP and eventually got told to select "default" in the printer setup (which uses Bonjour/Zeroconf.) Presto, the 130nr is there, the driver is there, and it prints as expected, all is well. I then had an odd discussion the the support person in which they "explained" that printing to the IP address only worked for "... printers with a built-in Postscript RIP ...." which I considered to be a most amazing statement.

So, now that the printer is installed and working, I went back and painlessly added a 130nr using the "More Printers -> HP IP Printing" method which also works now....

So, it seems like (for at least some of us) something is not quite working right: why would the printer have to be already found through Bonjour before IP printing can find it?
