Percentage function in Calculator

Why is there still not a % button in the Calculator?

Blimus! Even winbloze can manage percentages

Well maybe it is time for Microsoft make a joke on Ipod Caulculator!
Does not include a % for a MAC user breaks all the "klever" marketing campaing they try to do. I do not see why do no provide a full calculator in a device as Ipod Touch. By the way I got so disapointed with the poor performance of Touch tools. Time to "MAC" the "Touch"! Because till now it seems a Windows 98! Seriously! We want tools!

Some of us actually now how to calculate a percent without a percent button. I think I learned it the same place I learned to write coherent English sentences. 😉

I can never remember that though 😟

But you could also argue that some of us know how to add or work out square roots.

The point remains the same. Even the most basic child's calculator has a % button. Apple calculators should too.

This is a thing that's bugged me since I got my first Mac - a Mac Portable running System 6.0!

In Monday's Keynote they said that they are updating the calculator so that when you turn the iPhone/iPod Touch to landscape mode, it turns into a scientific calculator. That will come with the $9.99 upgrade.

To find, say oh, 25% of 32, you move the decimal place, which is at the end of the 25 because in a whole number, all of the numbers are before the decimal place. You move it over two place to make .25

Now in your 'basic child's calculator,' multiply 32 by .25. And that is 25% percent of 32.

there is a build in basic, scientific and even programmer calculator in OSX 10.4.+

Just press apple 1 or 2 or 3

or edit scientific
and there you find more then just %

It's great!!
