Creative Zen connectivity

Hi just got a mpb and using mac for the first time. I'm to transfer my photos from my PC using my old creative zen mp3 player. When I connect it to my mbp I can't see any option to access it.

Any ideas why this would be the case?

Unfortunately, Creative does not support Mac. I have one and it showed up on my desktop for awhile, but not anymore. Creative directed me to a page that says to reformat the player buy connecting it to a PC, but so far that has not worked for me. How ironic that a company called Creative does not support the most creative computer company, Apple.

The ones that work, will at least show up as a USB device. If it doesn't you have something that won't mount. What does the vendor's web site for support say about mac compatibility?
