iMac Color Profiles

If I use a color a profile other than the default "iMac" profile, will that cause damage to the screen or am I just worrying about nothing.

Hello Frank

Uncheck the box "Show profiles for this display only" and try either the Adobe RGB (1998) or sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile, right away you will notice much richer color and less glare over the iMac Cal.. I'm actually using a EPSON sRGB profile that installed with there all-in-one print/scan software, it's real close to the Adobe RGB profile and my prints match perfectly. The other kicker is that at both BestBuy's in town, I went in and reset the profiles on there display iMac's and the crowd including the sales folks all cheered...

"Down with the iMac Calibrated profile" 😉
