How do you get a crosshair type cursor with coordinates beside it?

Hi all,

This is a bit of a strange one...

My kitten is fascinated by my macbook, and was on the keyboard earlier on.. when i came back, the cursor had changed to one with a crosshair type thing with coordinates beside..

Any ideas what the shortcut is to replicate this.. im dumbfounded..
Note. ive got all the developer tools installed if that makes any difference!
