Where's the synthesized speech component?

I thought that Apple would do more than just glue and iPod to a phone. Browsing my iPod while driving on the freeway is a hassle. What I really want is the ability to browse a synthesized speech generated menu system, one that responds to my spoken commands just like my current Motorola E815 phone. So, for example when I say the command "Playlists", the phone reports by synthesized speech the sequential list I created in iTunes. Then, when it hits the playlist I want, I say, "play", and it begins playing the music. This system could have all the browsing complexity of the text equivalent, providing a full interaction between the user and the phone. This would eliminate any need to take my eyes off the road in heavy traffic.
