Turning off frame blending option

In short, I'm slowing down a lot of clips but I want 'frame blending' off each time.

At the moment, it's a case of manually turning off the option every time I slow down a clip.

Is there a way to set FCP so that the "frame blending" checkbox is off by default?

If you look under 'User Preferences' on the 'Render Control' tab, you'll see a check box for 'Frame Blending For Speed'. Try unchecking that and see if that works.

Also, grab those books: index>frame blending. At least four references. Online help system returns this also.

Tom - tried that, but it's the setting for what gets processed while you're editing.

Bogie - asking on this forum was my last resort, not my first.

All the manuals and google couldn't help me. In fact, type "frame blending checkbox" into google and this thread is the top hit!
My guess is it's not something enough people want, so has never been considered as a preference. If anyone knows if I'm wrong please post.

Where are you finding this checkbox?

You should be able to create an export batch that remembers this setting.

I think I wasn't clear in my first post.

Hit command-J when in a sequence, you'll see Duration and Speed text boxes, and below them two checkboxes for Reverse and Frame Blending.

The FCP default is to have the Frame Blending checkbox checked. This is what I would like to change, as I do not want to blend frames (due to shooting at 50fps).

Hope this clears up what my question is.
