Mini always boots into single-user mode

I just received a Refurb 2.0Ghz mini from Apple and it looks like they didn't quite reset things after refurbishing it. It boots in and out using what looks like the single-user (UNIX) screens before opening the OS X screens, so I see a black screen with white text detailing everything the mini is doing while it boots up. How do I disable this screen so all I see is the usual OS X cleanliness?

You need to reset the Parameter RAM (PRAM)

Start up whilst holding Option, Command, P and R keys.

Let the boot chime sound twice, then release the keys.

Hi, DP,

I'm hesitant to send this one back since it's a replacement for another mini I had to send back because it was experiencing repeated kernel panics. On that one, I tried to re-install OS X clean but it continued to happen, so it went back and I now have this unit.

To Apple's benefit, they replaced the old one very quickly and I have purchased refurbed equipment from them before (notably an Apple TV that's very reliable and this 2.0Ghz mini is replacing an old 1.5Ghz single core Intel mini also purchased in the refurb store) without incident. I'll give the previos suggestion a go and see what happens.
