Free Disk Defragmenter

Does anyone know any completely free (not trial) disk defragmenter for Mac OS 10.4? I've looked at VersionTracker and other sites and I only see commercial programs that do this. There are free ones but they are old programs from 2005. Thanks.

Disk Utility.

A smart defragmenter will backup their data anyway before doing it.
When you reformat a hard drive to have a separate partition for scratch data, it can have that second partition erased at anytime, thus always giving you defragmented space to work with for large files.
Mac OS X on the other hand does its own defragmentation for small files. See this discussion:

Apple also has an article on its defragmentation, but it currently is down at:

I'll see what I can do to get this article back up.
