Peachtree for windows equivalent for Mac

Currently I am using Peachtree on a Windows machine and would like to use an equivalent on my Mac. Can anyone make a suggestion.

Just install Windows on your Mac and run Peachtree.

I'm not exactly sure what peachtree does but above is a search for accounting software on macupdate.com if you don't want to run windows.
