iTunes & Telus Fast Dialup error-50

I cannot get iTunes previews. I cannot download purchased music. Keep getting -50 errors. It appears that it is either a problem with my internet firewall or accelerator. I have tried to get help from ISP (Telus) to find out how to configure my system to exempt a domain as per Apple support email, but they tell me to contact Apple. Can anyone help me out please?
