Error -204

Question

Error -204

I just tried to dowmload a song from the music store but the download didnt fully go through but iTunes did take 99 cents from my aacount. I checked my library and there is a file that has a bunch of numbers. When i click on it a message appears saying that the song file cannot be used because it cannot be located. I try to locate it and had no luck.I also chrecked my purchase history and it says that i purchased the song. Can anyone help??

Hi Ursula,

You haven't listed what you're running iTunes on (Mode, Operating System) but I use the Advanced menu with 'Check for Purchases...' to get stuff that hasn't downloaded successfully.

Thanks for replying Colin.
I checked the Advanced menu numerous times and a messagge appears saying that all music has been purchased for my account. When i open my library, i see a song file with only a bunch of numbers and and 30 seconds of play time. The download didnt complete and when i load iTunes up again, the song doesnt automatically finish downloading 😟 I also downloaded iTune 6 to see if that would help but unfortunately...it didn't.

Ursula,

I see you're on Windows XP - you might get better help in the iTunes for Windows forum.
