What do I use to clean the silver case of my Mac Laptop Pro

Here is an Apple article. To me, it says, "soft cloth dampened with water."

I was given an older PowerBook G4 (same case as MBP) that was reasonably clean but still had some skin oils and grime left from five years of hard use. I use the above method, finding it worked but sometimes needing an extra application to look really clean.

apple solution: turn off machine, take out all power and use a slightly damp cloth that is lint free


my solution: grab a thing of those 50/50 alcohol water wipes and go to town on it. those seem to be the best things and seem to be nice enough to the machine not to cause damage at all

but what ever you do no chlorox wipes/ windex/ what ever.

theres like a cleaning kit you can buy off ebay or from apple stores called iclean you get 2 clothes, a small blue one and a large blue one, a couple of screen wipes and a bottle of solution

its very good, iv used this on my macbook pro and would recommend it

Try microfiber cloths. Shinex makes excellent ones, which are available at The Home Depot or Lowes.

Invest in some skins. For starters check out iSkin & Speck.
