Can i set up a page to stream a live webcam with chat in iWeb using some 3rd party app?

mac pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7), latest version

You might want to look at EvoCam. A long while back, some of us here had these integrated into iWeb pages...

This socalled livestream is usually a quick display of jpeg images.

Your webcam takes a picture and posts the image on the webserver and a webpage either refreshes itself with the new image or a javaScript picks up the new image and displays it in the webpage.

The webcamserver can be configured to take a picture every 15 seconds or so, and then ftp it to the webserver.

You can display the page in iWeb with the HTML Snippet. Use the [iframe HTML element|http://htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/special/iframe.html] to accomplish that.
