Apple TV loses WLAN settings when I turn it off

Problem is that Apple TV loses WLAN (WPA) connection and settings when I turn off it (Apple TV) by unplugging it. I have to search my WLAN network and type WLAN password every time I use Apple TV.

Any ideas why Apple TV keeps forgetting these settings?
(By the way: there is no problems with my WLAN and PS3)

There is no difference whether or not I put my Apple TV into standby mode first.

If you leave it in stand by instead of turning it off, does it still lose connection, the point being that the device isn't intended to be continuously unplugged, if it loses connection only when unplugged, it may have to be something that you live with.

FWIW, my tv's don't lose connection after being unplugged, but generally this is rare, it may only be as a result of reorganising things and the supply is only off for a few minutes.

It was not until yesterday, when I become aware how many seem to have WLAN problems with Apple TV.

After some testing I noticed that my Apple TV does not drop WLAN connection every time I plug it out. I also perceived problems when trying to connect again - it gives mysterious 'error -3'.

I tried to change WLAN router settings according to the previous threads. No luck... It seems that I have just another Apple TV with strange WLAN errors.
