Help - Ipod Nano Won't Turn On

Hey everyone. My questions were answered pretty quickly last time I came here for help so I figured I might as well ask again, because I have a new problem. My iPod won't turn on! I turned it off once, put it on hold, and, later, tried to turn it on and it wouldn't! And no, it's not still on hold. I've tried connecting it to a wall plug (left it for about a day), my stereo, the car adapter, and even iTunes and it still won't turn on! Please, is there anything I can do?

Thanks to whoever helps

First step is to do a reset on the iPod.
Slide the hold switch from OFF to ON back to OFF then immediately hold down BOTH the center and Menu buttons for a good 15-30 seconds or until it restarts with the Apple logo.
Resetting isn't always effective once and you may need to retry it several times to get it to work.

My Ipod has recently done the same and every time I try to reset it it goes to the apple logo for a few seconds then goes blank again, then loads of tiny blue lines fill my screen, it goes blue then turns off! I've had it for a year and a half now and don't know what to do. I've tried resetting about ten times now.
