Will H.264 play on WMP or a Zune?

Does anyone know if video encoded as H.264 will play on:

1.) Windows Media Player on a PC
2.) a Zune

1. Don't think so. PC users would have to install QT7
2. What's a zune?

It doesn't work with WMP, it doesn't with my PC. I find WMP a poor player anyway.
