I just recently switched from a PC to a macbook pro, and there's just one thing that's bugging me. Does safari have anything similar to ctrl+F? Internet Explorer had this thing where you held control, hit F, and then a window with a text box popped up. You typed a search query into it and then it found all instances on the page, then you could scroll through the other instances of the query on the page. It was really useful, and now researching/looking for things is kind of annoying without it.
Also, I know firefox doesn't have a place on the apple discussion forums, but I have the same problem with the second new browser I've started using, so it would save me another post on another forum if anybody knew how to solve this problem on Firefox 3 as well.

Is there a way to permanently turn this on, so that it's always visible and all you have to do is put the desired text into the find area (is this called a panel?)? Thanks...so in other words it's always there waiting to be used and you don't have to do the Command-F to bring it up if its not already there?? Thanks...
