Clicks (from wordclock generator???)

I am using an M-Audio Fast Track Pro with Garageband. I keep getting random clicks. These are not from clipping. An engineer listening to some of my mixes told me that it is a problem with the midi
word clock??? I haven't be able to find a control in Garageband or the Fast Track Pro to address this issue.I do not wish to spend money in mix down to remove clicks.
