There are certainly still white keyboards as well as black ones, though they are far less prevalent than they used to be.

Exactly which bit of the keyboard does your office manager find too reflective?

I can't help but think that even matte key caps would become somewhat shiny with use, but certainly the original black mac Pro keyboard was a little more glossy than most others at the time.

I have (black) IBM and Dell keyboards which are matte (both do begin to go glossy over time though), and an old Apple Extended II (tan colored) keyboard which is used with a Griffin iMate and which has very low reflectivity. The latter has the same problem as the new aluminium keyboard however - it isn't recognized at startup, so the old Mac keyboard would have to be kept somewhere just in case that was needed.

If you want to go retro ... I use a 1986-vintage genuine IBM AT (not PS/2) keyboard with an AT -> PS/2 -> USB conversion chain.

This puppy has real spring key-switches, and weighs enough to be classified as a lethal weapon. Still going strong after 22 years.

It predates Windows, so doesn't even have a Windows (CMD) key on it. But I have mapped ALT to CMD, CTL to Option, and Caps Lock to CTL (where God intended it to be).

No glare on this keyboard. There is an active used market for these, and they sell between $100 and $200.
