external drives

We're going to be cutting some Pro Res Hi Def material via a firewire external drive. I've compiled a short list of some drives I found and was wondering if any of you would object to any of these drives or you could recommend some to me. ny manufacturers that are good or ones i should stay away from? I'm looking for RAID capability also.

Hi Buda,
If you are cutting ProRes I'd suggest eSATA drives (WD are no good for such task nor consistent as drive to use as scratch disk) here my suggestions:

Some of the drives above mentioned or which you can find details of in the links can be configured as RAID 0 for speed or 1 for more safety.

Take a look,

G.
