problems importing mp3file to itunes...

problems importing mp3file to itunes...

this is what happened...
I downloaded some songs on to my PC (xp), sent those mp3 files to my Mac via email. from my Mac Desktop tried dragging those mp3 files to iTunes(on mac)
files are not copied on to iTunes. tried clicking the mp3 files .....itunes window opens but does not play those songs. they are not copied on to itunes.
what the heck am i doing wrong?!

I checked the (Kind) of the mp3 files....it says Mp3 audio files.

Where did you get those tracks? Some places are less reliable than others and often provide MP3s with corrupted headers. If you can tell us where the tracks came from, someone may be able to offer some advice about getting cleaner copies or fixing the ones you have.

I downloaded the tracks for free. i can't remember where, but the important thing is that after i downloaded them, i had no problems importing them to my iTunes on my PC. my problems came when i tried importing them to my iTunes on my Mac.

I'd suggest that you try copying the tracks by some other means than email - a USB flash drive, external hard drive, network file sharing, etc. - and see if that helps.
