cant add files to itunes library

I downloaded some songs from a website and they showed/loaded up on windows media player. I tried to add them to itunes and nothing happened. I burned them to a cd and then tried to import the cd, but it never showed up. I looked at the files and it says they're itunes music player files (.wax). How do I get them into itunes? They won't add or show up.

Not acc. You want .aac. I use EZCDripper _ http://www.8to32.com/_ full version. Its been a long time but I think I got a free 30 day trial version years ago at Tucows.com. This is a site I've used for years for trial and shareware software, never got a virus. Don't know what I would do without it. Let's you try before you by.

Got off topic. This software free version is restricted in that you can only do 5 songs each time, but you can do it as many times as you need. That is of course if the 30 day free trial is still available.

Good luck.

Itunes MAY convert it IF you can get it loaded to Itunes. I don't think it has to play in Itunes to convert. Problems are.

1. Itunes does not say which formats it converts from. It maynot convert from .wax
2. As I understand it. your problem is you can't load onto Itunes. Have you tried file, add file to library to load your songs?

The only other way I know is downloading the software.

If you can load it into iTunes, you wouldn't need to convert it.

1. Itunes does not say which formats it converts from.

AIFF, wav, AAC, Apple Loesses mp3 and standard audio CD.

It maynot convert from .wax

It doesn't.
.wax files are not audio files. They are used by Windows Media Player to point to files on the internet.
If you look at the file size, it's probably only a few kB.

So, can I not get these files added to my library? I got them on a cd, which should change their format right? I insert the cd and iTunes doesn't detect anything.

THEY ARE NOT MUSIC FILES!
As pointed out already, and you acknowledges, these are nothing more than links to streaming content on the internet. If you want those songs in iTunes, I suggest you BUY them.
