Rented Movie disappears...

Question

Rented Movie disappears...

Would anyone know why a movie that was rented from the iTunes stores, that appeared under Rented Movies in ITunes, was moved to my AppleTV and was just waiting to be watched, disappeared after just about a week? I opened iTunes and the Rented Movie section was no longer their, neither was the movie on my AppleTV. What causes this?

G4, Mac OS X (10.5)

Maybe I just started it up until the main title to see if it was ready for viewing by the family later that evening. Does that cause a problem?

Yes.
You have 24 hours to watch it from when you first start watching it.

And after 24 hours the movie disappears? I thought one had 30 days to view the movie as many times as one wishes.

No.
You have 30 days to start watching it.
Once you start watching it, you have 24 hours.
