Q: Does 10.5.4 fix 10.5.2/10.5.3 Airport problems?

Does 10.5.4 fix any of the Airport problems that 10.5.2 and 10.5.3 created? I'm particularly concerned with the problem of my Mac not seeing my wireless router after installing 10.5.2 (I rolled back to 10.5.1 almost immediately). FYI, 17" MacBook Pro from winter 2007, Netgear FWAG114 802.11 a/b/g router.

There are fixes for AirPort in the 10.5.4 update. They are...

    1. Addresses AirPort reliability issues with 5GHz networks.
    2. Addresses AirPort issues that may result in slower performance in Logic Studio or MainStage.

So update your computer, your issue might be solved.

With that Netgear Router, it might be worth killing off the "a" and "b" modes anyway.

The only way to tell if your particular issues are fixed is to backup your system, verify your backup, and then carefully upgrade....

Let us know how it goes!

It looks like either 10.5.3 or 10.5.4 fixed the problem that affected my laptop under 10.5.2. It's nice to be fully up-to-date again with working Airport.
