iPhone Wifi Problem: High ping

Im having problems with my iPhone when i connect it to my wifi router DLink DI-524.
The connection is slow. I pinged my iPhone to see what happens and I got this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+Disparando 192.168.0.106 com 32 bytes de dados:+

+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=3ms TTL=64+
+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=382ms TTL=64+
+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=196ms TTL=64+

+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=1209ms TTL=64+
+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=2ms TTL=64+
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See how the latency is extremely high and unstable.
So I tried to connect it via AD-HOC with my encore wireless adapter and it works just fine. See the ping:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+Disparando 192.168.0.106 com 32 bytes de dados:+

+Resposta de 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 tempo=1ms TTL=64+

But when I try to connect with the encore wireless adapter working as an acess point I get the same problem again. So the problem is "iPhone Wifi + Router". I tried changing the settings on the router config panel and have no success.

Allan, Ive contacted DLink Suport and they said that this could be many problems and they cant solve it for me :O, they suggested contacting Apple. ¬¬

And Jason, I tried all the channels and the problem remains.
What about the other configurable settings at the router Panel like:
+Beacon Interval (msec, range: 1~65535, default: 100)+
+RTS Threshold (range: 256~2432, default: 2432)+
+Fragmentation (range: 256~2346, default: 2346, even number only)+
+DTIM Interval (range: 1~255, default: 3)+
+Wireless Mode+

I tried doing some changes on this values and nothing happened 😟

Hi, I've seen your thread on macforum also. I've noticing the very same behavior as yours, and I've tried my iPhone with 2 different routers, an Airport Extreme and Airport Express.
I've tried to use Airport Utility to see if something is wrong, and when I check the Wireless Client log window I see that the iMac has Signal level -63, Noise level -87, Rate level 130 Mbits, while the iPhone has the following values: Signal level 26, Noise level 0, Rate level 27 Mbits.
The two machine are inches distant.... now I'm wondering what is the iPhone can cause such a big difference?!? Should the rate be around 54 Mbits if the iPhone wi-fi is at g speed?!?
