I'm having the exact same thing happen.
Seems it doesn't matter if you've installed the update or not (I haven't because I use Hotapp and the update will kill it).
Any ideas would be appreciated.G5 Dual 2.0 2 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, 30" Dell, G4 Dual 450, iBook Graphite SE, Mac OS X (10.4.11), Back to Tiger after the Leopard nightmare! Aaaaah!
Currently Being ModeratedJul 7, 2008 8:35 AM (in response to Jeff Hoogmoed)I had a thought that it might happen more when my RAM was committed elsewhere; but now that I've got 2GB—and you've got 4—I'm pretty sure it isn't that.
My only other thought of a possible software conflict would be TextExpander (no reason other than speculation)... are you running that?first-gen iMac G5
Well, it's a bit drastic, but it got fixed for me.
My Finder started crashing and restarting every ten seconds or so... couldn't find a fix, and had to go through a complete Erase & Install.
No more double letters, though, knock on wood. If they ever come back, I'll let you know what I installed to make it happen again.first-gen iMac G5
