iTunes 4.9 or > required. Okay, where is 4.9?

Does anyone have an official link for iTunes version 4.9 for those who have older computers or don't wish to immediately upgrade to version 6?

I've heard it's not available, but am wondering if I missed a download location.

JP007 Hello,

there is no official download for version 4.9 of iTunes... if your computer can run 4.9 then it will also be able to run the latest version iT6 ... so if you want to update to 4.9 you might as well go on to 6.

Actually there is a Mac version of iTunes 4.9 at this site. Clicking on the link below will download iTunes 4.9.

TP, I know my mac can run 6, but I'm not ready to upgrade to 6 for several reasons, however would like to keep buying music. (Everything worked great last week 😟

1. A major version upgrade warrants backing up and such (which takes time!) I'm less worried about a quick point upgrade like going from 4.7 to 4.9.

2. I understand v6 requires or recommends QT 7, which will nuke my QT 6 Pro features.

3. I am not an early adopter and like to wait out new software releases for at least a couple months, usually longer.
