Silence is golden: which hard drive?

Space is getting tight, so I'm looking to get a new internal drive for my 1st gen MacBook. It should be no less than 320GB.

I'm doing audio work, so noise level is the most important issue. I'm satisfied with my current 5K160 Travelstar in that respect, and I'm hoping for something as good as that.

I wouldn't mind if the new drive performs well otherwise, either. The 7200 RPM Western Digital Scorpio Black Edition is soon to be available here in Norway. Would it be silent enough for me?

Any other recommandations/thoughts?

Since you're happy with your travelstar HDD why not go with another travelstar. They come in bigger sizes and should be just as quiet as yours. Be careful when choosing a 7200rpm drive. They make more noise than a 5400rpm drive since they are spinning faster. They also use more battery power. If noise is your number 1 concern I would definately stick with a 5400rpm drive. The latest travelstar 5400 drives should be even faster than your SK160.
