Mainstage sounds & beats in logic??

Some of the mainstage sounds (mainly keyboard) seem to be exclusive to mainstage. Are they? Can sounds be transfered over? What about beats? some of the beats are really cool & i would like to work with them in logic...

All the channel strip setting that are available in Mainstage are also available in Logic. If the Mainstage patch has more than one channel strip you will need to open each channel strip setting onto a separate track in Logic and record arm them all so that they play together (since you can only put one channel strip setting on a track in Logic).

You might also be missing some of the bussed effects from the Mainstage patch, but again these Bus channel settings are also available in Logic.

You can create the same splits in Logic.. and the beats you hear in Mainstage are available in Logic.

In Logic, when you select a particular track you will see in the left-hand inspector a section where you can edit the key range (the middle section where you set the track icon). Setting these key ranges is the same as setting the key range in Mainstage.

After you set the ranges of all the tracks to the ranges you want you then record enable all the tracks you want to hear together.

It's easier to do this in Mainstage.. clearly one of the reasons the app exists.. but it's not that hard in Logic.

Good luck!
