2nd generation shuffle won't charge or turn on

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could help me. When I put my ipod into its base and hook it up to either my computer or recharger, it won't recharge. It doesn't light up and my computer doesn't even recognize it. Please, please help because my warranty is up and I don't know what to so,

Sorry to post the same thing in two topics but I also have a mac (saw a mac user up the post had the problem) and I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm running 10.4.11 and I have the same problem. I've restored 3 times and I've deleted everything off and tried putting it back on. It still keeps telling theres no music on it.

I am having a similar problem now that I restored mine! There is music on my shuffle and it plays ok but when I try and charge it I get 3 orange lights. It doesn't look like it's charging, I get neither a green nor orange light when it's plugged in. Anyone got any ideas? I want to sort it out before the battery runs out and I can't recharge it!

Mine won't recognize either! Received UPS on Monday and shuffle died on Tues. Everything had been working fine and all of the sudden it just stopped working and will not recognize, charge, or anything. Very frustrating. Have spent almost an hour on the phone being transferred all over the world to get my $ back. This is the 4th ipod I've purchased in a month, because everyone in our family wanted one. If this had been the 1st purchase the others would not have been bought! Being put on hold and transferred everywhere has not helped my frustration. I would not recommend a shuffle or Apple support to anyone.
