I am having trouble opening a particular web page.

I am a new mac user and have an imac. I am able to use Safari for every website, except for this one.

http://www.milwaukeemoms.com/

Do I have to download something to be able to open/view the page? There is nothing wierd about this website (free, local parenting website). I have no idea why it's not opening for me. Any help is appreciated. Tia.

That site opens without any problem for me. It does use JavaScript, so if you don't have JavaScript enabled, that could be a show stopper, but I doubt it. There's something else going on, but without a specific error message, we can only guess and that's usually not productive.

Have you tried creating a new User Account on your iMac and accessing the page from Safari there? If not, you should do that; if it works fine there, then we can isolate the problem to something specific to your user account.

Thank you. I actually have another user set up on the computer (my nanny) and I tried it on her user id too; it still doesn't work. So, is there something specific I have to do to be javascript enabled? Is there a way that I can check to see if I am disabled for javascript? Overall, I have been able to see most websites. There are a few times I can't see images on some websites, but that doesn't bother me as much. thanks again.

Thank you. I am not using windows, it's all Mac 🙂 I just checked the javascript and it's enabled. I have no idea why it won't work. I may get on a windows computer to open the page, email the site administrator, and see if she has ever heard of this problem before. If you have any other thoughts, they would be appreciated. Thank you.

After reading you dialog with Mulder about the problem you were having, I tried a couple thing and was able to resolve a similar issue I had with Safari. See the thread about my problem if you want the details. ref: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1582059&tstart=0
