iMovie Error Code = -2002

iMovie Error Code = -2002

I have iMovie 08

When it gets to end of the blue bar on "Exporting Movie", this then pops up:

"Unable to Export Movie."
"The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (Error code = -2002)"

Pretty vague...

All my source files are AVI's from a Canon PowerShot. I have imported/exported dozens of movies before from the same camera, but today I can't export anything.

MacBook, 2.4GHz, 4GB SDRam, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I am having the same problem when sharing using quicktime to an mp4 format, canon camera too. Have you had any luck with it since?

Error -2002 = badPublicMovieAtom
Since other files on the same camera work, my guess would be that this file is corrupted and QT cannot parse/read the file properly -- i.e., data may be there but one of the child/leaf "atoms" is misidentified.

I've had the same error, when exporting an iMovie to Quicktime, even with movies that I've previously exported but since updated. Truly puzzling.

i get the same error code when exporting to MP4 from iMovie. although i am able to export in different file formats, so it might be a quicktime bug.

i dunno. any other thoughts out there?
