How do I mount my Simpleshare NAS drive?

Hello to all,

I'm desperate trying to mount my Simpletech Simpleshare NAS Drive. I've tried with a direct Ethernet connection, with a direct usb connection (which usually works very well), I've tried by connectiong it to my wifi server. It just appears nowhere. It used to work flawlessly with tiger. I just had to connect to the SMB://simpleshare server and there it was. Thinks started getting a little more complicated in the latest 10.4.5 os x. But the drive is now totally unaccessible with Leopard.

Please heeeeelp.

My mac's IP is 192.168.1.200.
My router's 192.168.1.1
The Simpleshare's IP I have no idea as it doesn't appear anywhere to check (when I connect by ethernet directly on my macbook, I get an IP 169.254.133.65 -IPV4 Address /via DHCP/in TCP/IP tab- , but isn't that the ethernet port IP?).

Thats' what I was looking for, but hoping I would not see.

The NAS has a different IP address/network than yours.

You will need to read through the docs, or google for help, getting the NAS to a similar IP address of 192.168.1.*.

I'm looking at "a" SimpleShare PDF manual, and it looks like their software can assign (page 41 on the manual I am looking at) a static IP address.

Was this issue ever resolved. I have encountered a similar situation with my simpleshare NAS. It completely disappeared from the network (AEBS accessed by macbook (10.4.9), iMac (10.4.9) and macbook pro (10.5.4). I pulled this information from simpletech:

Does the SimpleShare work with Vista or Mac OS 10.4.X?
A: There is currently limited compatibility between the SimpleShare and Windows Vista. Microsoft added new security features that have caused issues with the Linux base of the SimpleShare. While most users have been able to get basic data access, the advanced features of the SimpleShare are not working in Vista. This applies most specifically to the password protection options in the SimpleShare. This feature cannot be enabled if you would like to access the SimpleShare from Vista.

With the release of Mac OS 10.4.9 new security features have been added to the OS that limit compatibility with the SimpleShare. While some users have been able to continue accessing the SimpleShare, most new setups fail. We are investigating these issues, but do not currently have a work around available.

Does anyone know of a fix yet?
Thanks
