NO DETAILS ON DISK (After Burning)

When I select "Burn Playlist To Disk" The disk gets written fine and plays, but there is NO INFOMRATION on the track(s). Why is that? iTunes shows all the info on all the traks being written.....but the same "Info" is not written to the disk.

PLEASE HELP! I am soooooo frustrated not being able to figure this out.

Thanks in Advance!

This is normal for burning audio CDs and, I believe, MP3 CDs. iTunes does not support CD Text which is how burning applications write track and album information to a CD. So your disks will indeed not have any identifying information for the tracks. If there's a workaround for iTunes (other than doing your burning with another app, one that supports CD Text), I haven't heard of it.

Larry & Gaynor....

yeah, this one pizzes me off too, but...

I dont think iTunes will ever incorporate CD-text writing into their program, that would make it too easy to buy legit tunes, burn to audio cd, then rip back to mp3 with all the song info intact so as to share with all your friends!... not gonna happen.

So, there is a work around, but its a pain in the ***...

Burn your audio cd with iTunes, then use a third party program to rip the songs back to your hard drive as mp3'z (like CD-ex), open up the newly created mp3 files in iTunes (or another program capable of editing ID3 tags where the song info is stored), edit the song info one at a friggin time (right click and go to Info if using iTunes), then use another third party program that supports cd-text to burn your mp3's back to an audio cd. See, it's just that easy... right. You now have two versions of the same dang song on your hard drive... the iTunes m4p and the mp3.

If someone knows an easier work-around please let us all know!
