During the iPhone 2.0 upgrade my iTunes CAN NOT connect to the iTunes store. I flushed my DNS, restarted iTunes, restarted my phone. . .etc, etc. Stubbled upon a thread suggesting reinstalling iTunes. I uninstalled iTunes. . .BUT THE ITUNES DOWNLOAD PAGE IS BROKEN. So I can't download iTunes now.
The same thing is happening to me. Plugged the iphone in after the restore and "accessing itunes store" is taking forever. Now my phone is useless because there is only emergency access. HELP!!
Apple's servers are down. There is nothing wrong with your network connection when you get the error message to check your connects during the "Accessing iTunes store" step of the 2.0 upgrade
Same thing is happening to me. The 2.0 upgrade seemed to go fine, but whenever I plug the phone into my mac, itunes launches, and the itunes store page refreshes, but the progress bar at the top of iTunes says "Accessing iTunes Store" indefintely. I am unable to select anything within itunes. I am able to quit itunes and relaunch with the same result.
I have reboot both the iPhone and my Mac with the same result.
yep, same thing here. Phone is on emergency calls only. Went through the update, then I came back about 10 minutes later, CONNECT TO ITUNES, and itunes was trying to activate the store. But, I could GET to the store. Still trying to connect.
Same here.. Upgraded to 7.7, then upgraded iphone to 2.0. After 20 minutes, iPhone is "emergency only" and i get a "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was reset."
I hoping that this just means the server is overloaded right now.
I am still able to download stuff from the store using iTunes, however. Weird.
Now they are trying to shift blame to the users by stating that they cannot create a secure connection. They want the users to waste time checking their internet settings to ensure that they are using SSL v3 or TLS 1. If Apple has been operating at SSL v2 for all of this time and just switched over, they picked a heck of a time to do it.
And you wonder why big business does not trust Apple. Apple will always be a boutique business until it stops placing style over support.
I think everyone needs to be patient and not do this if you are under a time crunch.
I got hung up to on the iTune's access. But it is now going through a activation process and restoring phone from backup.
Just DON"T pull he plug until its done.
