My iBrick is stuck on a -9838 error after attempting to upgrade to 2.0. It states that "we could not complete your itunes store request." Almost the second you plug it in, it states that there is a 9838 error and refuses to go any further. I've heard that the trouble is on Apple's end (a failure to allocate enough bandwidth), but would I be well-served if I just keep trying to re-connect, or is the error in my phone?
Your help is appreciated.
MBP; PB G4 15; iBook 12 (and many 'ancient' Macs), Mac OS X (10.5.4)
I am getting the same error. I got the update downloaded, and it said it was restoring my phone, but then when it tried to restart, I got this error message. I am assuming it's because of server overload...
Same here (Tucson). After unplugging it and pluging it back in about 20 times it is now saying accessing itunes store with the candy bar moving. It's been doing that for about 3 min now on a 17mbps fiber optic connection. Now I just got an error -4. Good Luck!
