VPN: VPN Connection "Could not validate the server certificate."

Anyone come across this error yet? I'm connecting to a Cisco VPN concentrator using a client certificate authentication. I'm guessing it might have to do with some concentrator certificate, but could anyone verify that error?

Thanks.

Having the same error here.
I even downloaded the configuration tool, and built a config for the VPN and moved that profile to the iphone with both the root cert for my company as well as my identity cert to the iphone.

I was hoping to get my corporate email someday... but no TKIP authentication for WIFI/WPA enterprise which is how we roll... and now difficulties with the VPN... still locked out of exchange....

Personal Certs don't show up in the profiles on the iphone at all (the personal cert does show up when choosing the cert in either VPN or WPA enterprise screens on the iphone)

But signature of htis should not matter.

I do have a Root Certificate loaded for my corporation, it does show as "unsigned" but I am not even sure why I really should have to load that onto my iphone at all, that was just my attempt to make this work.

I can access the VPN system via my Mac with only having to load my identity cert.

Hi,
I connect to several business networks using a Cisco VPN 4.0.3 and have found that the new software update I just installed for my iphone (not 3g, but the new software)has corrupted my access. I can autenticate and ping, but can no longer launch applicaitons on the network (SAP, for example). Only solution I have found is to kill all Itunes related processes and services prior to initiating VPN. Is there a way to supress Itunes at start up to avoid the manaul cleanup prior to connection?
Thanks, chris

Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I am still getting the could not validate server certificate error. I have tried importing the entire certificate chain as well as importing each individual cert in the chain. My certificate works perfectly with the cisco vpn on my pc.
This is my first experience owning an apple product, and I am very disappointed with the customer support that I have received. I tried calling the help line and no one would even attempt to answer my question. I was then told that the Mac "geniuses" wouldn't know either and that I may be able to find an answer on the message boards. So I am reaching out to the community...Has anyone been able to figure out how to resolve this issue or even the specific cause? Any help is appreciated.
