Exchange Calendars Synchronization Issues Galore

None of my pre-existing calendar events/appointments are synchronizing with my 1st generation iphone + 2.0 firmware.
However, I just got a meeting request via push which worked and is the only item in my iphone calendar now.
I sent myself a meeting request to test further, this appeared in my iphone calendar. I moved the date forward to today on the phone, but the change was not reflected in outlook. The meeting then just disappeared from the phone.

Here's the exception:
An exception occurred and was handled by Exchange ActiveSync. This may have been caused by an outdated or corrupted Exchange ActiveSync device partnership. This can occur if a user tries to modify the same item from multiple computers. If this is the case, Exchange ActiveSync will re-create the partnership with the device. Items will be updated at the next synchronization.

I had the same issue. Recreating your calendar worked for me.
In Outlook, go to File-Import and Export
Export to a file, pst, and choose your calendar.
-> it will add all your calendar entries into a .pst file.

Now go to your calendar - view - current view - all appointments
Select them all and delete them.

Import now your calendar again from the pst file: file - import and export - import from a file, ...
