Can not burn audio CD's - Says songs don't fit

From 4.9 I hav enot been able to burn audio cd's. Same playlist that was burned with earlier versions can't be burned, it says that all songs won't fit, which is not true. It worked on two computers earlier, now it doesn't work on any of them. Can't be a hardware problem...

Any help is HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What type of disc are you trying to burn: Audio, MP3, DATA? Please provide more specific information about what you are trying to do so we can help more effectively.

I am trying to burn audio CD' (see above) that I can play in my car or my ordinary sound system. I did not have any problems with this until upgrade to 4.9. It might be a coincidence, but after 4.9 I could not create/burn audio cd's on any of my two computers. One is a IBM desktop and the other is a DELL laptop. Please le me know if you need more info. Your assistance is appreciated. This has been bugging me for some time now.

When the Playlist is highlighted, at the bottom of the window, in the center, you will see a display of how many songs are in the list, the playing time, and the Megabytes. The playing time may be in decimal format, you can change it to H:M:S by clicking it. If this time is more than 80 Minutes (1 hour, 20 minutes), the length of a standard Audio CD, all the music will not fit on that disc.

As I wrote earlier, I have made audio cd's before. The same playlists that I could burn earlier can't be burdned from 4.9. 12 tracks, 52,2 minutes 68 MB. All songs doesn't fit. Only three fits on the cd according to iTunes.

No worries, Peter. I like to cover the obvious stuff first, and get it out of the way. My next question is what kind of media are you using? For example if you are trying to use 800MB discs, these are not supported and I have seen this type of error message generated.

Changed to other discs today. And, it worked fine. Had no idea that 800mb discs weren't supported. Thank you very much for your assistance!

I have the exact same problem. I am using a 700mb disc. The only thing is when it says not enough space and asks if I want to do 2 cs's and I click yes it goes back to the playlist like i never clicked the burn icon. (I have herd that verson 5.0.1 is having a problem with burning, is that true?)

I just downloaded 5.0.1 and am having the same problem burning.....this has been going on with all Itunes versions I have installed. The playlist I'm trying to burn contains 169 MB over 5 songs. I'm using a 700MB CD-R at 32X. I can take the same music and burn it to disc using Windows Media Player on my computer, but I get the "song's don't fit" error message when trying to do it through ITunes.

Any enlightenment appreciated.
