Any funny or weird stories from the front line?

I was in line this morning, and a young kid offered his 9th place in line for $100. All of a sudden, this lady raises her arm up, holding a wad of cash and says, "I'll give you $1000". So the kid takes it and leaves in his truck. A few minutes later, she offered the very first person in line $600. This woman paid $1600 to get an iPhone today. It turns out that she was a professional golfer who was in town for the LPGA and she was going to be late for her tee time if she waited much longer. This happened at the AT&T store in Maumee, Ohio. lol Wow.

Btw, I was about 45th in line and the store only had 20 phones. 😟

This is my first iphone. I had been reading forums and blogs for months. I figured that this was going to be a pretty big deal where I live here in the bay area. There are three selling stores within a mile of each other, only problem was 2 were in the mall. Mall security here closes the parking lot and no one was going to be allowed to utilize the parking garages. As it turns out Mall security even turned people who tried to stand in line away last night.
I had planned and did end up going to the ATT store in the Costco shopping center where I could park in front of the store, and stand in line with a friend and take turns resting in the car. Got to the store at 7pm last night. brought videos, games, books, and munchies. I was first in line. About 6 guys showed up at midnight and set up a tent in front of the store, and crawled in a spent the night. People kept showing up all through out the night and the line got longer and longer. Starbucks opened at 4:30 and took orders from the line. At around 7am we had about 200 people in line and the guys crawled out of the tent. Turned out they were kids who were saving places for others who showed up, having spent the night in nice comfortable beds. I was first so I did not have anything to complain about, but a big confrontation was happening behind me from the others who did not appreciate "line jumpers" showing up.
I had a great time as a friend waited with me. My only problem was could not sync my phone at the store, came home and network clogged. So after taking a nap and resting up was finally able to sync my phone, and I am a happy camper!

After waiting 4 hours in line, an Apple Store manager announced that all phones tied to a corporate account could only be activated at AT&T stores, NOT at Apple Stores. With 4 hours waisted, I expect better treatment, foresight, and business ethics from Apple. This information should have been disclosed as soon as I got on line, not four hours after entering the line.
