Unable to load provider data from Sync Services
Has any one seen this? Also in the iPod info tab I now have no options in any of the dropdowns...

Thank you macster, your solution worked fabulously. I struggled for 3 weeks without being able to sync and used several "solutions" but yours was the only one that worked.
On another note, I currently use have a PC and am considering purchasing a Mac Desktop for a Christmas present to myself. What do you think and which one should I get. I don't do any heavy duty computing however I am on it from 4 to 5 hours per day in Quicken, Word, Excel, and Access etc.
Again thanks,
Tom
yup .. this word for me
i posted this as a new thread, then i found the topic discussed here, so i would liek to share my inquiry, and confirm the solution please:
i just had this message for the fist time when trying to sync my iphone 4: "iTunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later"
what i did is that:
- i unplugged my iphone 4
- clicked on "edit" in itunes, "Preferences", "devices", "reset synck history"
- Uninstalled itunes
- restarted the lap top
- reinstalled itunes
then i tired and the iphone synced fine. i tried it a few times and it was fine.
but i have 2 questions:
1- could this be cause by excessive syncing, since i do sync my phone almost twice a week.
2- is what i did good enough for a solution or do i need to rename folders and resort to the other solutions provided?
I followed this suggestion and it worked. Though I also did a regedit reset thing, but either way it is fixed.
I don't like going into the registry and modifying things. Too many things could go wrong. Here is an EASY fix that my brother showed me. Takes 1 minute.
Try going to c:/user/appdata/roaming/apple and RENAME SyncServices to SyncServices.old. iTunes will create new version after you Reboot. Sync Worked like a charm.

So, I have tried it all and I still am getting the error message that it can't sync the data class. I am not happy with this.
