I would check this article for what you need to know on copy-protected disks and iTunes:

I've tryed to copy my copy controlled CD's "Placebo - Sleeping with ghosts", "Stephan Eicher - Taxi Europa", "Gary Moore - Backon the Street - The Rock Collection" and "Nena - 20 Jahre Edition 2003" via iTunes on my iPod. In any case the first song will not by copied correctly, all other songs are ok.
Is there a solution to get also a working version of the 1st song to my iPod? I bought the song legally why is it not possible to transfer the song to the medium of my choice?
Thank you!

When trying to import songs from a copy protected cd, I was given a list of four applications that I can use to import the songs, and iTunes was not on the list. Is it at all possible to import protected .wma's into iTunes, or sync my iPod to Windows Media Player?
I'm so happy!!! I had a CD of Janet Jackson latest album (Damita Jo) that was copy protected and I was not able to copy it into my iPod. But apparently with this new realease it works perfectly... I'm listening to it now! Ye!! 😀
so again, have we found out that there is no way to import from these brand new releases that are WMA protected? Just bought new My Morning Jacket and it is not importable.
Any help out there??
