3G iPhone WiFi: Cannot connect problem

Hi,

I got my new 3G iPhone today.
Everything works perfectly except that I am unable to connect to my home WiFi network.

In my network I have the main router, then a wireless hub (access point). Theres a wired connection going to a PC from the hub as well as wireless to a laptop. Both of these have no trouble connecting to the internet.

The router is a 4 port Belkin.
The hub is a BT Voyager 1500 Wireless.

On the iPhone in Settings > WiFi I am seeing two networks. One of which is called BTHUB (this one is about a foot away from my desk) and another called BTHomeHub-C193 which must be in someone elses house nearby.

By clicking on the little blue icon of either of these the ID ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK, ROUTER, DNS, SEARCH DOMAINS and CLIENT ID fields are all empty.

When I try to connect to to either of these it asks me for a password. From BTHUB (my network) I type in my wep key (exactly the same one as I use with laptop) and I get the message "Unable to join the network "BTHUB".

I have reset the network connections from the about section of the settings. I have also disconnected, restarted and re-setup my router and the BT Hub many times and I get the same result.

If anyone has any advice on what I could try let me know.
Thanks

Same problem here. Went back to the Apple Store and of course it had no problem hooking up there. Came back home and tried my old iPhone... worked perfect. Tried to manually enter the DNS, etc, but noticed that I could not put in a space and the DNS is called Bills, LAN. Wondering now if that might have something to do with it. No matter what it is, its a BIG problem and clearly a problem with the new phone or 2.0.

That didn't work for me... 😟

But this did from: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
In some cases you may need to reset the network settings for your device. To do this, choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Then I turned of all WPA on my router, connected - it got an IP!
So turned WPA back on reconnected and wireless is still working!

I'm having the same issue with my gnet modem. the phone finds the gnet but wont connect. I read through an Apple tech support article on the subject & tried all suggestions but nothing helped. I connected at work without any probs. Apple only offers one free call to tech support; I hope they put some resources on this one.

My problem is this. On a Netgear WAP I'm getting "Safari can't open the page because it is not connected to the internet."

At work I'm using a Netgear RangeMax Wireless Router WPN824 with WPA-PSK encryption. The iPhone wifi always connects successfully so I have access up to the WAP. The problem is I can't reach the intenet. I always get an error "Safari can't open the page because it is not connected to the internet." and my apps also fail to reach the internet as well. I'm also not going through a proxy.

I'm able to connect to the WAP so I know the problem is on the back end of the router but I tried the following anyways

Tried all wireless settings n,g,b
Turned encryption off
Verified no mac filtering
Verified seeing iPhone connected and assigned ip address
Verified other wireless connections work and can reach the internet
Disabled Advanced 108Mbps Features

On the iPhone I tried the following
I did a reset on the network settings
Did a renew lease
Tried manual and auto HTTP Proxy options
Tried DHCP as well as setting up a static ip addres
Veried I have DNS entries
Changed DNS entries other other known name servers

At home I have a D-link and everything works great and I use WEP encryption on that.

So my question is. What is it about the iPhone that would make my Netgear block it's access to the internet? As I said before I have checked all settings and verified I'm not blocking any mac addresses and the DNS settings are good as all my other wireless devices work great.

Anybody have any suggestions I haven't already mentioned?
Is anybody having the same problem?
