I just synced my iPhone to my mac using iTunes and everything looks good except my iCal events. I'm pretty sure all my events are showing up in my phone, but every single one is three hours ahead. My phone and my computer both have correct date/time/time zone settings. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?
Mine is doing the same thing, though all my times that I entered from iCal show up 2 hours earlier on the iPhone. And if I set the event time correctly on the phone, then the events in iCal are ahead by 2 hrs when I sync.
I've deleted the events and re-entered them. Does it for recurring events and one-time-only events. My time settings are correct on both the phone and my iMac.
Same problem for me. I showed up an hour late to my son's baseball game. Ouch!
I checked the Time Zone on my MacBook and sure enough, it was wrong.
Close (1 hour off) but wrong. Since I made the correction every thing seems to be good.
The same is happening for me. I checked the Time Zone in Time/Date Prefs and it is correct. My appointments are showing two hours early. At least I won't be late to anything.
I'm running 10.5.4, iCal 3.0.4, and 1st Gen iPhone on 2.0 software.
Check the time zone setting on your iPhone.
I up-graded my 1 Generation iPhone yesterday with the 2.0 software and believe it or
not everything was on US Pacific Time despite the fact that I am living in the UK.
Then I made sure that in iCal the correct time zone has been set and o the iPhone as well.
After that everything was o.k.
That corrected the issue. I went to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Time Zone Support (Near the bottom) -> and selected my TZ rather than "Cupertino".
I had changed the settings in General -> Date & Time, but that did not have an effect.
I had the same problem, here is the fix:
You have to change the TIMEZONE in two places ...
1 = Settings > General > Date and Time Set this to your own TIME zone and DISABLE the SET automatically
2 = Settings > Mail,Contacts,Agenda > At the bottom of this list change the TIMEZONE also for Agenda to your local Time zone.
This will do the Trick 🙂

I had the same problem, though the solution does not seem to work!
I changed the time zone on the two spots in my iPhone, and checked the one in my outlook. It's all amsterdam time now. But still the items are 2 hours late in my iCal. Strangely enough, new items i put in my Outlook agenda are synced at the right time ?!
Ugh. I can't believe I didn't see that. I assumed the Date & Time setting was global. Didn't realize there was another setting in the Calendar settings.
Thanks so much - I had no idea there was a time zone setting in that location as well - seems a bit daft, but changing it fixed the problem - thanks so much 🙂
