"An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-1426)"
However, upon restoring my iPhone, I got the (less than useful) error:
"An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-1426)"
After I click the (ill-named) "OK" button, the (non)-sync continues and I get the (uninformative) message "The "iPhone my-name's iPhone" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
It appears that I did recover contacts & calendar, but photos & music aren't being restored.
I did find previous Archived (and locked) discussions that mention a "required file" that relates to iPhoto:

I also had iPhoto crash on me some point today. So, my guess is that there is something definitely wrong with my photos, but I'm not clear on what or what needs to be done to fix/work around this problem.
I tried this a number of times, and I managed to get my photos ONCE, but not my podcasts.
Anybody have a clue about what's going on? (Or why in 2008 Apple is still using error codes and obscure error messages??)
